What's New with the Lakers?

Welcome to the Forest Lake Lakers Blog!

This last season in December, the Lakers hired a Social Media Coordinator to facilitate the communication of all things Lakers Junior Hockey. It was a difficult task to accomplish as the Lakers and most of the MnJHL happened to be behind the times with social media.

The first half year of the teams social media efforts were mostly evaluation of the status of all platforms. After updating several pages and looking into new strategies the Lakers have decided to start a blog to bring out fans, and families closer to the players while they go through the struggles on and off the ice.

We plan to feature players insight stories and insider information from the coaches including updates by Dennis Canfield the Lakers new head coach. Stay tuned for more to come on all things Lakers Junior Hockey.

Upcoming blogs will include, players signings, locker room groundbreaking, transition move to Forest Lake, updates on summer skates, and more!

The Lakers are a proud part of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League (MnJHL) a Tier III Junior Hockey program that has been developing players for over 40 years. This year the Lakers will be celebrating their 21st season, and they have a lot to look forward to. A fresh outlook after relocating to Forest Lake from Edina. A new coaching staff, new arena, and brand new locker room.
